One of my favorite recent PG-13 comedies, Pitch Perfect is back and hopefully will be just as funny as the first. Shouldn't be a problem since everyone from the original cast is back at their game, check it out and fun fact the college was based off Baylor and SING!

Simple, yet effectively entertaining. I appreciate this awesome creation.
Whiplash feels like the type of movie you can watch again 10 years after and still feel the same way you did when you first viewed it.
It's a psychological movie about art, passion, and sacrifice.
Miles Teller plays an awkward jazz virtuoso at Shaffer who wants to be one of the greatest drummers of all time.
J.K. Simmons plays his demeaning college conductor who wants to find the next great of all time.
This movie follows their hectic, dramatic, and rare relationship.
Together they will push each other, fight each other, manipulate each other and ultimately respect each other.
The heart of the film is Miles Teller's character and his unrelenting passion to be the best is both inspiring and sometimes frightening. Much less frightening than J.K. Simmons' character who believes the words "Good Job" are the worst words anyone can be told and constantly challenges Teller while belittling him anyway he can.
Why is it AWESOME!?
1. THE ACTING. Some of the best acting I've seen this year. You know the scene in Interstellar when Mathew McConaughey's character is watching his kids' videos and starts crying on board the ship? Awesome acting right? Yeah well imagine that level of performance times 2 and throughout the whole movie. Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons provide their best performances yet. You believe these people exist and kind of wish you could meet them.
2. THE WRITING. It's on point with never a boring moment. Every time I guess what's gonna happen, I'm flipped on my ass. This movie had my girlfriend and I squeezing each other because it was so intense. It's a movie we could not stop talking about after especially because of it's awesome ending. It's just great drama unlike any I've seen in a long time and examines what it means to be an artist and what it takes to be the best.
3. THE JAZZ MUSIC. Not only is it fun to listen to but its fun to watch in this movie. Seeing the jazz band work in all of its parts may sound dull, but the movie makes it incredibly entertaining with a variety of great closeup shots. The audience feels every beat and knows when Miles Teller picks up his drumsticks, some awesomeness will ensue.
RATING: I don't rate movies that I love.
